The Jindhag Foundation is a charitable organization founded to support and preserve the cultural diversity of traditional and indigenous peoples around the world that are being threatened with extinction and assimilation into modernity. The word Jindhag comes from the Tibetan word for “sponsors” and is associated with the notion of giving support.

Harmon Houghton


Harmon Houghton is an entrepreneurial business man having founded four companies including Houghton Management Inc., a management consulting firm, Extended Technologies, a computer software and technology corp., Clear Light Publishing, a book publishing company, and Eco Products Group, an environmental technology corporation.

Along with business interests Harmon has incorporated a deep seated interest in philosophy, indigenous cultures and humanities into a life-long quest. Harmon has mentored with Chief Leon Shenandoah the Taodaho for the Iroquois Confederacy, has received teachings and initiations from H.H. the Dalai Lama and has studied with numerous Lamas and spiritual teachers from both western metaphysical and eastern spiritual traditions.

Harmon’s core values are to respect the interdependence of all things.
